Looks like the owner of the Wild Ranger Vernon Adkinson and it’s Captain Scott Meisterheim came to blows in tonight’s episode. At the round table discussion they had words back and forth until Meisterheim asks “Do you wanna go?”
And with that an old fashioned fist fight broke out between the two.
It looks like Scott Meisterheim got the best of Vernon. But Vernon didn’t back down. The cast and production crew broke up the fight. Scott exits the rest of the interview. Vernon accuses Scott of stealing gold and being incompetent and damaging his equipment on the boat. After Scott quit Vernon believes that he overfilled all of his pumps with too much oil… causing them to fail.
Vernon didn’t fire Scott. Scott quit In the middle of repairing the sluice box.
After the other dude Steve refused to go back Scott was back on the dredge alone working on the sluice, then he stood up threw down the tools, called Vernon and told him he had had it, he was leaving the boat.
Vernon himself went on the dredge and said the reason they weren’t getting any gold was because the sluice was at the wrong angle, and the gold was washing back into the water. I feel bad for Vernon but If the dredge wasn’t properly built he only has himself to blame.
So he can’t go now and accuse Scott of stealing gold they never had in the first place. Had the man accused me of stealing on national TV i’d have punched him out too.
LOL, That being said, over all Scott sure ain’t no people person, the only thing he should be captain of is a bath tub. MY guess would be he’ll be back with the other dredge he finished the season with, if at all. I think the producer there said he caught a right hook while trying to break up the fight.
Having worked in movies and TV, I would say there is an an unwritten law, “Thou shall not punch the producer.”
I look forward to laughing my ass off next season.
Dang I missed that episode where Scott quit. It looked like Scott was laying on the punches there for a few secs. That was some good tv there.
